Reindeer
are often used in Christmas tales, as Santa Claus' sleigh is said to be pulled
by flying reindeer’s.
These
Reindeers were first named in poem in 1823, where they are called Dasher,
Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder and Blixem. Dunder was later misrepresented
to Donder and — in other works — Donner, and Blixem was later changed to
Blitzen.
