Paper dolls have been in existence almost as long as
paper. Japanese paper figures date back
as early as 900 A.D.
The Women of Texas venture
was designed to broaden the impact of The Division of Textiles and Apparel. Each paper doll on the
site represent a woman who openhandedly donated clothing and/or other materials
to the Historical Collection.
